Richard Blair Modzelewski (1931–2018) was a defensive tackle who played college football at the University of Maryland alongside his brother Ed. He earned All-American honors in both his junior and senior seasons and won the 1952 Outland Trophy. In the NFL, Modzelewski played for the Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, and Cleveland Browns, and served as interim head coach of the Browns for the final game of the 1977 season. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993. Modzelewski grew up in West Natrona, Pennsylvania, and attended Har-Brack High School.
