Donald Lee Blasingame (March 16, 1932 – April 13, 2005), nicknamed "Blazer," was a second baseman in Major League Baseball from 1955 to 1966. Born in Corinth, Mississippi, he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1953 following Army service and took over the second base job from Red Schoendienst in 1956. He finished twelfth in National League MVP voting in 1957 and appeared in his only All-Star Game in 1958. Blasingame also played for the San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Washington Senators, and Kansas City Athletics, reaching the World Series with Cincinnati in 1961.
