Donald Thomas Buddin (May 5, 1934 – June 30, 2011) was a right-handed shortstop born in Turbeville, South Carolina. He attended Wofford College before signing with the Boston Red Sox — scout Mace Brown secured him for an estimated $50,000 bonus. Buddin served as Boston's starting shortstop from 1956 through 1961, missing the 1957 season for military service. He later appeared for the Houston Colt .45s and Detroit Tigers in 1962. During his time in Boston he led the American League in errors. He played six major league seasons in total.
