Donald Lee Demeter (June 25, 1935 – November 29, 2021) was a right-handed outfielder and corner infielder who appeared in parts of 11 MLB seasons for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, and Cleveland Indians. The Oklahoma City native attended Capitol Hill High School before debuting with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956. He served as the Dodgers' regular center fielder for much of 1959, contributing to their World Series victory over the Chicago White Sox that fall. Traded to Philadelphia in 1961, Demeter hit at least 20 home runs in every full season with the Phillies, reaching a career high of 29 in 1962.
