Don Elston (April 6, 1929 – January 2, 1995) was a right-handed relief pitcher who spent the bulk of his Major League Baseball career with the Chicago Cubs (1953, 1957–1964), appearing in 450 games over nine seasons at the major league level. Born in Campbellstown, Ohio, Elston stood 6 feet tall and weighed 165 pounds. A hard thrower, he entered professional baseball in 1948 through the Cubs farm system, with a brief detour through the Brooklyn Dodgers organization in 1956–57 before returning to Chicago, where he worked as a reliable bullpen arm for consistently struggling Cubs clubs.
