Donald Walter Jonas (born December 3, 1938) played college football at Penn State University as a versatile back, carrying the ball and returning punts and kickoffs across the 1960 and 1961 seasons. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the 13th round of the 1961 NFL Draft, though his time in Philadelphia lasted just one game in the 1962 season. Jonas went on to a professional career as a quarterback in the Canadian Football League. After his playing days he moved into coaching, serving as the first head coach of the UCF Knights football program from 1979 to 1981.
