Dossier
Donald Ray Mincher (June 24, 1938 – March 4, 2012) was a left-handed-hitting first baseman from Huntsville, Alabama who played in the American League from 1960 to 1972. He suited up for six franchises across his career, including the original Washington Senators, Minnesota Twins, California Angels, Seattle Pilots, Oakland Athletics, and the expansion Texas Rangers. Mincher holds the distinction of playing for the final editions of both of Washington's 20th-century AL teams and their first-year rosters in new cities — Minneapolis–Saint Paul in 1961 and Dallas–Fort Worth in 1972. He was known locally as Mr. Baseball of Huntsville.
