Dossier

Donald Wayne Money (born June 7, 1947) was a right-handed infielder who spent fifteen seasons in Major League Baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies (1968–1972) and Milwaukee Brewers (1973–1983). Originally signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of La Plata High School in Maryland, he was traded to Philadelphia in 1967 as part of the deal that sent Jim Bunning to Pittsburgh. He began his career as a shortstop before settling at third base, where he earned four All-Star selections and a reputation as one of the stronger defensive players at the position during his era. He briefly played in Japan for the Kintetsu Buffaloes at the end of his career.
