Donald Frederick Mueller (April 14, 1927 – December 28, 2011) was a right fielder who played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1948 to 1959. A left-handed batter who threw right-handed, he spent the first ten years of his career with the New York Giants before finishing with the Chicago White Sox. Mueller batted above .300 for three consecutive seasons (1953–1955) and led the National League in hits in 1954 with 212. He earned the nickname "Mandrake the Magician" for his ability to consistently put the ball in play and deliver hits through the infield.
