Donald Ray Nottingham (born June 26, 1949) was a running back in the NFL from 1971 to the mid-1970s, playing for the Baltimore Colts and Miami Dolphins. Known as "the Human Bowling Ball" for his short, stocky build, Nottingham played college football at Kent State University, where he was a three-year letterman, team captain his senior year, and a first-team All-Mid-American Conference selection in both 1969 and 1970, finishing with 2,515 rushing yards on 602 carries. He was selected by Baltimore in the 17th round of the 1971 NFL Draft before later joining Miami.
