Donald Stephen Pavletich (July 13, 1938 – March 5, 2020) was a catcher and first baseman who spent the bulk of his major-league career with the Cincinnati Reds. A native of West Allis, Wisconsin, and graduate of Nathan Hale High School, he was signed by Cincinnati as an amateur free agent in 1956 and made his big-league debut on April 20, 1957, at age 18. After serving in the U.S. Army from May 1957 to February 1959, he returned to the Reds organization and held a roster spot in Cincinnati from 1962 through 1968, primarily as a backup catcher. He later played for the Chicago White Sox (1969) and Boston Red Sox (1970–71).
