Donald Raymond Ross (July 16, 1914 – March 28, 1996) was an American infielder in Major League Baseball who played between 1938 and 1946, primarily at third base. Born in Pasadena, California, he batted and threw right-handed. Ross played for the Detroit Tigers (1938, 1942–1945), Brooklyn Dodgers (1940), and Cleveland Indians (1945–1946). He debuted on April 19, 1938, replacing Marv Owen as the Tigers' third baseman, and was Cleveland's regular third baseman in 1945. Over 498 games he compiled a .262 batting average with 390 hits, 12 home runs, and 162 runs batted in. His career bridged the pre- and post-World War II eras.
