Don Schwall

Donald Bernard Schwall (born March 2, 1936, Hanover Township, Pennsylvania) was a right-handed pitcher who spent seven seasons in Major League Baseball. Raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Schwall was a multi-sport standout at Ypsilanti High School, earning All-State honors in basketball and baseball before attending the University of Oklahoma on a dual basketball and baseball scholarship. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and later spent four seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, finishing his career with the Atlanta Braves. In 2007, he was inducted into the Ypsilanti Athletic Hall of Fame.
