Doug Cunningham (1945-2015) was an American football running back who played eight seasons in the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Mississippi, where he played tailback under coach Johnny Vaught and earned All-SEC honors twice. He was selected in the sixth round of the 1967 NFL/AFL Draft and played seven seasons with the San Francisco 49ers from 1967 to 1973, followed by one season with the Washington Redskins in 1974. He was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and the Ole Miss Sports Hall of Fame.
