Donald Robert "Duffy" Dyer (born August 15, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio) was a professional baseball catcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1968 to 1981. A three-sport athlete at Cortez High School in Phoenix, Arizona, Dyer played collegiately at Arizona State University, where he was a member of the 1965 College World Series championship team alongside Sal Bando and Rick Monday. He spent the most prominent portion of his career with the New York Mets, who won the National League pennant and the 1969 World Series. He also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos, and Detroit Tigers before moving into coaching and minor league managing.
