Dwight Michael "Dewey" Evans (born November 3, 1951, in Santa Monica, California) was a right fielder who spent the majority of his Major League Baseball career with the Boston Red Sox (1972–1990) before finishing with the Baltimore Orioles in 1991. A right-handed batter, Evans was a three-time All-Star and earned eight Gold Glove Awards along with two Silver Slugger Awards. He ranks second in career games played for the Red Sox, trailing only Carl Yastrzemski. Evans was drafted by Boston in the fifth round of the 1969 MLB draft out of Chatsworth High School in California.
