Edward Earl Husmann (1931–2018) was a defensive tackle who played college football at the University of Nebraska, where he walked on and earned a starting role as a senior. The Chicago Cardinals selected him in the ninth round of the 1953 NFL Draft, though he spent two years away from the game on military service with the U.S. Army. He later played for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL and the Houston Oilers in the American Football League. Husmann was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Nebraska High School Hall of Fame in 2006.
