Edgar Leon Kirkpatrick (October 8, 1944 – November 15, 2010) was a Major League Baseball outfielder and catcher who played sixteen seasons, from 1962 through 1977, for the Los Angeles/California Angels, Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers, and Milwaukee Brewers. A native of Glendora, California, he appeared in 1,311 games, posting a .238 batting average with 85 home runs and 424 RBI across his career. He contributed to Pittsburgh's National League Eastern Division titles in 1974 and 1975. On October 4, 1972, Kirkpatrick recorded the final base hit — a single in the eighth inning — in the last game played at Municipal Stadium in Kansas City.
