Eddie Gene Fisher (1936–2025) was a right-handed relief pitcher who spent parts of fifteen seasons in Major League Baseball from 1959 to 1973. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, he grew up in Oklahoma and was an all-state pitcher on Friendship High School's 1954 Class C state championship team. Fisher went on to pitch for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, California Angels, and St. Louis Cardinals. He was selected to the American League All-Star team in 1965, and at the time of his retirement held the all-time American League record for relief appearances. He was known for throwing a knuckleball.
