Edward Lee "Big Ed" Stevens (January 12, 1925 – July 22, 2012) was an American first baseman in Major League Baseball who played from 1945 to 1950. Born in Galveston, Texas, he stood 6 feet 1 inch and batted and threw left-handed. Stevens played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1945–1947) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1948–1950). He was the Dodgers' primary first baseman in 1946, batting .242 with 10 home runs and 60 runs batted in over 103 games. In 1947 he was displaced when Brooklyn moved Jackie Robinson to first base, and he was sold to Pittsburgh that November. With the Pirates in 1948 he played a career-high 128 games. Over 375 major-league games he compiled a .252 batting average with 28 home runs and 193 RBIs. He had a long minor-league career and was inducted into the International League Hall of Fame in 2009, later working as a coach and scout. His career fell within baseball's integration era.
