Edward Perry Stewart (1916-2000), commonly known as Bud Stewart and issued on some baseball cards as Eddie Stewart, was an outfielder and pinch hitter in Major League Baseball. A left-handed batter who threw right-handed, he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1941-1942), the New York Yankees (1948), the Washington Senators (1948-1950), and the Chicago White Sox (1951-1954). His career was split by a gap during the World War II years between his early seasons in Pittsburgh and his return to the majors in 1948. Over a nine-season career he batted .268 with 32 home runs and 260 runs batted in. He spent the final part of his career with the White Sox, where he worked primarily as a pinch hitter, retiring during the 1954 season.
