Eliseo "Ellie" Rodríguez Delgado (May 24, 1946 – April 23, 2026) was a Puerto Rican catcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1968 to 1976. Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he moved to New York City in 1953 and grew up near Yankee Stadium, where Yogi Berra served as his boyhood model at the position. He attended James Monroe High School in the Bronx, graduating in 1964, and signed with the Kansas City Athletics before being drafted by the Yankees later that year. His MLB career spanned five clubs: the Yankees, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, California Angels, and Los Angeles Dodgers.
