Robert William "Long Bob" Meusel was an American professional baseball outfielder who played eleven seasons in Major League Baseball from 1920 through 1930. Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall, he spent the bulk of his career with the New York Yankees, batting fifth behind Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and serving as a key member of the "Murderers' Row" clubs that captured six American League pennants and three World Series titles. In 1925 he led the AL in home runs (33), runs batted in (138), and extra base hits (79). A right-handed hitter with a strong throwing arm, Meusel finished with a .309 career batting average.
