Eric Soderholm (born September 24, 1948) was a Major League Baseball third baseman who played from 1971 to 1980 for the Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees. Selected first overall in the secondary phase of the 1968 draft by Minnesota, Soderholm won the Twins' starting third base job in 1974. After missing all of 1976 with a knee injury, he signed with Chicago as a free agent and responded with a career year in 1977, batting .280 with 25 home runs and earning AL Comeback Player of the Year honors from The Sporting News. He followed with 20 home runs for the White Sox in 1978.
