Ernest Russell

Ernest Russell (1883–1963) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born in Montreal, Quebec. He began his senior career with the Montreal Hockey Club in the CAHL in 1904–05, also playing football as a halfback with the Montreal Football Club. Russell joined the Montreal Wanderers for the 1906 season and became the team's offensive centerpiece, helping them win the Stanley Cup in 1906, 1907, 1908, and 1910. He once scored a hat-trick in five consecutive games. Russell was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1965.
