Farrell Funston

Farrell Funston (March 5, 1936 – July 20, 1996) was a Canadian Football League wide receiver who played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1959 to 1966. A product of Pacific University, Funston was drafted by the NFL but never played a down before heading north. With quarterback Ken Ploen, he was a central part of Winnipeg teams that reached four Grey Cup finals, winning three (1959, 1961, 1962). He earned western conference all-star honors in 1961 and 1963, posting career-best marks of 60 catches for 835 yards and nine touchdowns in the latter season.
