Ferdinand Charles "Fernie" Flaman (January 25, 1927 – June 22, 2012) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who spent the bulk of his NHL career with the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. A physical bodychecker, Flaman broke in with Boston after three seasons with the minor-league Boston Olympics, where he earned Eastern Hockey League First All-Star Team honors in 1945 and 1946. Traded to Toronto in 1951, he won a Stanley Cup that same year. He returned to Boston in 1954, led the league in penalty minutes (150), was named team captain in 1955, and earned three NHL Second All-Star Team selections (1955, 1957, 1958).
