Floyd Charles Peters (May 21, 1936 – August 18, 2008) played defensive tackle in the National Football League over a 13-year career, earning three Pro Bowl selections. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he attended John Swett High School in Crockett, California, before playing college football at San Francisco State University under coach Vic Rowan. He was selected in the eighth round of the 1958 NFL draft. After his playing career, Peters spent more than 20 years as a defensive coach in the NFL.
