Frank Conrad Baumholtz (October 7, 1918 – December 14, 1997) was an outfielder in Major League Baseball who played from 1947 to 1957 for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, and Philadelphia Phillies. A left-handed hitter, he batted .290 over ten seasons, with 1,010 hits, 165 doubles, 51 triples, 25 home runs, and 272 runs batted in across 1,019 games. He was one of a small number of athletes to play in both Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association. His career was interrupted by military service during World War II, and he reached the majors at age 28. Before returning to Chicago in 1951, he had a strong minor league season in 1950, batting .379 with 254 hits in 172 games for the Los Angeles Angels of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League. With the Cubs he was a regular outfielder in the early 1950s and finished as runner-up for the National League batting title in 1952. He closed his career with the Phillies in 1956 and 1957. Baumholtz was born in Midvale, Ohio.
