Frank Isbell

Frank Isbell, given name William Frank, known as "Bald Eagle" (August 21, 1875 – July 15, 1941). He was born in Delevan, New York and died in Wichita, Kansas. He stood 5 feet 11 inches and weighed 190 pounds. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He debuted in the majors in 1898 and played his last big-league season in 1909, a stretch of 12 seasons, primarily with the Chicago White Sox of the American League. His full professional career, including the minor leagues, ran from 1896 through 1913. His card presence in this catalog spans the E90-1 American Caramel set issued between 1909 and 1911 and the T206 White Border tobacco issue, distributed by the American Tobacco Company between 1909 and 1911. He is interred at Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas (Section A - Lot 61 - Grave 10).
