Frank Sullivan

Dossier
Franklin Leal Sullivan (1930–2016) was a right-handed pitcher who spent parts of eleven seasons in Major League Baseball with the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Minnesota Twins from 1953 to 1963. One of the tallest pitchers of his era at 6 feet 6 inches, Sullivan was named to the American League All-Star team in both 1955 and 1956. After the 1960 season, Boston traded him to Philadelphia for right-hander Gene Conley in a rare exchange of towering pitchers. Sullivan was elected to the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2008.
