Frederick William "Freddy" Enke Jr. (1924–2014) was a professional football quarterback who played seven NFL seasons from 1948 to 1954. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Enke starred at Tucson High School before playing college football at the University of Arizona. Drafted in the seventh round of the 1948 NFL Draft, he went on to play for the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, and Baltimore Colts, starting for the Lions for two seasons. After his NFL career he retired to Casa Grande, Arizona, where he worked as a cotton farmer. He died in 2014 at age 89.
