Fredie Hubert Norman (born August 20, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas) was a left-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1962 through 1980. Standing 5-foot-8, Norman was a screwball pitcher who came up through the Kansas City Athletics organization before also suiting up for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, and Montreal Expos. He is best remembered as a member of the Cincinnati Reds during the Big Red Machine era, when the club won four division titles, two National League pennants, and two World Series championships between 1973 and 1977. Norman posted double-digit win totals each season with Cincinnati and led the team in strikeouts in 1975. He was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 2018.
