Frederick Alexander Shero (October 23, 1925 – November 24, 1990) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player, coach, and general manager. Nicknamed "The Fog," he played for the New York Rangers but spent most of his playing career in the minor leagues. After 13 years coaching at the minor-league level, he reached the NHL as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, winning the Stanley Cup in 1974 and 1975 and returning to the Final in 1976. He remains the Flyers' all-time leader in coaching victories. In 1978 he moved to the Rangers, guiding them to the Stanley Cup Final in his first season there.
