Fred Tenney, given name Frederick (November 26, 1871 – July 3, 1952). He was born in Georgetown, Massachusetts and died in Boston, Massachusetts. He stood 5 feet 9 inches and weighed 155 pounds. He batted and threw left-handed. He debuted in the majors in 1894 and played his last big-league season in 1911, a stretch of 18 seasons, primarily with the New York Giants of the National League. His full professional career, including the minor leagues, ran from 1892 through 1916. After his playing days he managed in the majors from 1905 through 1911. His card presence in this catalog spans the E103 Williams Caramels issue of 1910; the E90-1 American Caramel set issued between 1909 and 1911; the T204 Ramly tobacco issue of 1909, distributed by the Mentor Cigarette Company and recognizable by its ornate gold-bordered frames; and the T206 White Border tobacco issue, distributed by the American Tobacco Company between 1909 and 1911. He is interred at Harmony Cemetery in Georgetown, Massachusetts.
