Fred Toney (December 11, 1888 – March 11, 1953) was a right-handed pitcher who appeared in Major League Baseball from 1911 to 1923 with the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, New York Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Toney compiled a career record of 139 wins, 102 losses, and a 2.69 ERA. He twice reached the 20-win mark, in 1917 and 1920, and led the National League in saves in 1918.
