Garry Lariviere is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman born on December 6, 1954, in St. Catharines, Ontario. Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the fifth round of the 1974 NHL amateur draft, he chose instead to sign with the World Hockey Association, beginning his professional career with the Phoenix Roadrunners. He was traded to the Quebec Nordiques in 1977 and remained with the club when they entered the NHL in 1979. He also played for the Edmonton Oilers before leaving the NHL after the 1983 season, then spent three more years in the AHL with the St. Catharines Saints.
