George Allen

George Trenholm Allen (July 27, 1914 – March 27, 2000) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born in Bayfield, New Brunswick, and raised in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. A left wing, Allen played in the National Hockey League between 1938 and 1947, spending most of his career with the Chicago Black Hawks. He first reached prominence with the North Battleford Beavers, reaching the 1937 Allan Cup final before signing with the New York Rangers. Called up during the 1938–39 season, Allen recorded 3 points in his NHL debut—setting a Rangers record for most points in a first game—before his rights were sold to Chicago in 1939.
