George Atkinson

George Henry Atkinson III (1992–2019) was a running back in the National Football League. The son of former Oakland Raiders safety George Atkinson II, he played college football at Notre Dame before signing with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He spent much of his early career on practice squads, contributing primarily on special teams. Over his career he also had stints with the Cleveland Browns, where he played in all 16 games of the 2016 season, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the New York Jets.
