George Edward "Bud" Gardner (October 8, 1942 – November 6, 2006) was a Canadian ice hockey goaltender who played in the NHL and WHA from 1963 to 1974. He skated for the Detroit Red Wings and their minor league affiliates before joining the Vancouver Canucks when the franchise entered the NHL in 1970, serving as their first starting goaltender. After two seasons in Vancouver, Gardner moved to the World Hockey Association, playing for the Los Angeles Sharks and Vancouver Blazers before retiring. He died in Coconut Creek, Florida, in 2006.
