George Joseph Moriarty (July 7, 1885 – April 8, 1964). A native of Chicago, Illinois, he died in Miami, Florida. Standing 6-foot-0 and listed at 185 pounds, batted right-handed and threw right. He worked the major leagues from 1903 through 1916, spending the bulk of his career with the Detroit Tigers of the American League. He had turned professional back in 1901, several seasons before his big-league debut. He managed in the majors from 1927 through 1928.
