George Morrison

George Harold Morrison (1948–2008) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born in Toronto, Ontario. He skated collegiately with the Denver Pioneers before entering professional hockey. Morrison played 115 NHL games with the St. Louis Blues between 1970 and 1972, then spent the following five seasons in the World Hockey Association with the Minnesota Fighting Saints and Calgary Cowboys, appearing in 361 games. In the final game of the 1973–74 WHA season he set a league record for the fastest hat trick in WHA history, scoring three goals in 43 seconds; a fourth goal that night gave him 40 for the season. He was inducted into the Denver University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.
