George Stone sky background

George Stone sky background was born 1876, and died 1945. He was associated with the St. Louis Browns of the American League. He batted and threw left-handed. His likeness survives in the cardboard record on the E90-1 American Caramel issue. The E90-1 American Caramel set, issued circa 1909-1911, was one of the largest caramel-card releases of the era and a key competitor to the contemporaneous tobacco issues. Career statistics and full game-by-game records for many deadball-era contributors are incomplete in the surviving sources, leaving the cards themselves as a primary witness to the player's place in the professional game.
