George Thomas Johnson (born December 18, 1948, Tylertown, Mississippi) was a 6'11" power forward/center out of Dillard University who played 13 NBA seasons from 1972 to 1986 with the Golden State Warriors, Buffalo Braves, New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, and Seattle SuperSonics. A key reserve on Golden State's 1975 NBA Championship team, Johnson led the league in blocked shots per game three times and earned NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors in 1980–81. He recorded 5,887 career rebounds and is credited with the first five-by-five in NBA history, achieved on March 26, 1978.
