Gerry Shannon

Gerry Shannon (1910-1983) was a Canadian ice hockey left winger who played five seasons in the National Hockey League between 1933 and 1938. He played for the Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Eagles, Boston Bruins, and Montreal Maroons. After seven years in the Ontario Hockey Association, he signed with the Senators and scored 11 goals and 15 assists in 48 games as a rookie. He moved with the franchise to St. Louis, was later traded to Boston for Joe Jerwa, and in 1936 joined the Montreal Maroons, recording 16 points in 1936-37. He finished his career with three seasons in the International American Hockey League, retiring in 1940.
