Gilbert Perreault, born November 13, 1950, is a Canadian center who spent all 17 seasons of his NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres after being selected as the franchise's first-ever draft pick in 1970. He anchored the Sabres' "French Connection" line, which carried the club to the 1975 Stanley Cup Final. A nine-time NHL All-Star and two-time second-team All-Star selection, Perreault won the Calder Memorial Trophy as a rookie and later added a Lady Byng Trophy. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990 and remains Buffalo's all-time leader in games played, goals, assists, and points.
