Dossier
Granville "Granny" Liggins (born June 2, 1946) was a Canadian-American noseguard who played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners before continuing his career in the Canadian Football League. A two-sport athlete at Oklahoma, he was a 1967 NCAA Division I All-American wrestler and a Consensus All-American in football that same year, earning UPI Lineman of the Year honors and a spot on the All-Big Eight Conference team while finishing seventh in Heisman Trophy voting. He was part of the Sooners squad that defeated second-ranked Tennessee 26-24 in the 1968 Orange Bowl, where Tennessee resorted to double-teaming him in the second half to slow his pass rush.
