Greg Malone (born March 8, 1956) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who played in the NHL from the mid-1970s through 1987. After back-to-back 30-goal seasons with the Oshawa Generals of the OHA, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected him in the second round (19th overall) of the 1976 NHL Entry Draft. Malone spent the bulk of his playing career with Pittsburgh before three productive seasons with the Hartford Whalers. He retired in 1987 with 704 career games played and 501 points (191 goals, 310 assists). He later served as head scout for the Penguins, contributing to their Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992.
