Hal Jeffcoat (1924–2007) was an American Major League Baseball player whose 12-season career spanned 1948 to 1959. Born in West Columbia, South Carolina, he began as an outfielder with the Chicago Cubs from 1948 to 1953, then converted to a right-handed pitcher in 1954. He played for the Cubs through 1955, the Cincinnati Redlegs and Reds from 1956 to 1959, and the St. Louis Cardinals in 1959. As a pitcher he appeared in 245 games, posting a 39–37 record with 25 saves and one shutout. His most productive pitching seasons came between 1955 and 1957. He is also remembered for beaning Brooklyn's Don Zimmer in June 1956.
