Henry Lee Foiles Jr. (June 10, 1929 – May 21, 2024) was a catcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1953 to 1964. Born in Richmond, Virginia, he attended Granby High School in Norfolk and later the College of William & Mary and the University of Virginia. Signed by the New York Yankees in 1947, he was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1951 Rule 5 draft and made his major league debut on April 21, 1953. His most productive years came with the Pittsburgh Pirates, earning a berth in the 1957 All-Star Game. He was the first major league player to use contact lenses.
